Eber W. Carle's Last Will


I, Eber W. Carl, of the County of Marion and State of Iowa, being of sound mind and disposing memory and of the age of 76 years, do hereby make, execute, and publish this to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

(1). I direct that all my just debts, charges of last sickness and funeral expenses be fully paid out of my estate.

(2). I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret Jane Carl my entire estate both personal and real during her natural lifetime to have and to enjoy all the rents, profits and emoluments arising therefrom, vesting in her the full use and control and management of the same during her natural life.

(3). At the death of my beloved wife I give devise and bequeath my entire estate both real and personal to be equally divided among all my children now living and my grand daughter Ella Collins only child of my deceased son William Carl share and share alike.

Lastly, I hereby appoint and nominate John Bush to be the executor of this my Last Will and Testament.

The foregoing instrument on the date above written was subscribed by Eber W. Carl of Marion County Iowa as for his Last Will and Testament in our presence and at his request, and we then subscribe the same as witnesses hereto in his presence and in the presence of each other this 29th day of February A.D. 1896.
